The universe is immense; yet, we are audacious enough to attempt to study it. In the long period of history, scientific discoveries had happened and sometimes conflicted with religious and other concepts/ the universe as a whole is an abstract concept but it consists of real physical places where everything else exists. Maybe you are wondering when did the universe begin? Where and how? These questions entered my mind too- what is the origin of the universe?
There are many suggested theories on how the universe originated. However the standard model of cosmology is said to be the Big bang Theory. It is broadly accepted theory for the origin and evolution of the universe. It says that about 14 billion years ago, universe was only a few millimeters across. It expanded from this hot dense state into the vast and much cooler cosmos we currently inhabit. Even though Big Bang is most widely accepted hypothesis for the origin of the universe, it still leaves many question unanswered.
However, there have been several other models for the universe. One of these is the Steady State Theory. It stated that the universe was eternal and that galaxies and stars are born throughout the universe over time. It originated by Fred Hoyle in 1948 but because of many problems regarding this theory, there are no cosmologists today who believe in it.

George Gomow |
The Oscillating Theory by George Gomow stated that the universe explodes, contracts then explode and contracts and returning back again and again. This theory wants to eliminate the acknowledgement of need for a creator in the Big Bang.
It is thought that the Solar system formed according to what is known as the Nebular Hypothesis. A German philosopher, Immanuel Kant, in 1755 and a French mathematician, Laplace, in 1976, published closely related hypotheses which postulated that the solar system was derived from the condensation of an enormously dispersed gaseous atmosphere surrounding the sun. This model explains qualitatively many features of the Solar System, including the fact that the planets essentially all revolve around the Sun.

Many other theories are related to the origin of the universe. The Fission Theory, Capture Theory, Accretion Theory, Planetary Collision Theory Stellar Collision Theory and Gas Cloud Theory. Each suggesting many phenomena, events and happening on how the world began.
There are still many questions unanswered by these theories. Many problems are still arising but still I have a theory to introduce. It is from the Bible. It states that the universe was made by God.
